CPD = ABC Streamlining of the CPD system has allowed more effective and accessible modes of delivery. The basic aim of CPD is to ensure that the practitioner constantly evaluates and/or adjusts the way she or he practices in order to manage patients in the most appropriate way.
CPD = ABC consists of 10 electronic newsletters per annum, covering the latest innovations in the field of eye-care and practice management. These will be available for download at the end of every month February to November 2012.)
With each monthly on-line article/newsletter there will be a multiple choice questionnaire which needs to be answered and submitted on line via the website prior to the due date of the next newsletter. Each newsletter will be worth 3 CPD points. The GIO will keep accurate records of your CPD status on completion of the 10 Newsletters, we will issue the necessary CPD certification. This will enable you to:-

• Accumulate the minimum 30 points per annum inclusive of Ethics.
• Be in a position to have documented proof at hand should you be audited
• Continuously receive updated information that is applicable to the clinical practice of Optometry.
